Hind Sale, Wednesday 20th August 2008

Peel Forest Estate are having a Hind Sale Wednesday 20th August 2008. The line up in this year’s sale we believe, is certainly our best for proven ability to pass on the strengths of our Furzeland genetics.

Hinds mated to young stags such as Mega Peel, is a wonderful opportunity to access the very best we can make available.

The release of semen from Chancellor and Mega Peel also is a tremendous opportunity to design your own breeding with specially selected hinds.

A Most Remarkable Spiker- MEGA PEEL

This outstanding Spiker born 2006 is a son of Chancellor Peel out a Branson (Woburn) x Jaegermeister (German) hind at the Peel Forest Estate stud. He grew an impresive 41 points with good length to many of his tynes.Another special attribute is that he is extremely quiet. A fine example of the power of Chancellor Peel's genetics. We have cut this increadible young stag and his antler weighed an extaordinary 7.8kg.

ATLAS NZ's Number One Growth Rate Stag D.B.V.23.28 kg

Atlas has raced to the number one spot of the December 2007 DEERSelect cross herd Breeding Values for the 12 month yearling weight D.B.V (W12BV).
Atlas is a son of Maximillian out of an important Nelson hind. Nelson was a Shultze-Wrede (German) x Jonathon (Warnham). Very interesting to note that this fine stag is not a pure Eastern bloodline and will therefore be an important sire for the industry.
Another very pleasing characteristic of Atlas is that he has a great placid temperament which he is passing through into his progeny.
