Commander Peel won the National 2 year old Hard Antler Competition 2007.
Originally the award was given to Amadeus but an error found in calculating the scores from the competition judged in Cambridge in February repositioned Commander Peel to No 1 and Amadeus to No 2.
Commander is a new sire for Peel Forest Estate continuing the important bloodline of Chancellor Peel with the added infusion of Adonis (a past world record antlered stag).
Commander had a very impressive set of antlers as a 2yr old with a 35 point head 396 SCI. Very large in beam and long in top tynes. He carried on as a 3yr old and produced a huge head again with 36 points, scoring 429 SCI (excellent as he rutted with a large number of hinds).
We believe Commander will eclipse his sire in years to come and produce many high-scoring progeny for the industry.
